Aim: This course aims to inform participants in working more effectively with persons who self-harm, including how to safely and therapeutically manage situations where a person presents with self-harming behaviours.
Who is this course for? All Health & Social Care Practitioners or anyone interested in gaining a foundation knowledge about self-harming behaviours and the possible reasons behind such behaviours.
Course Topics:
The training incorporates evidenced-based perspectives and best practice interventions in working with service users who self-harm. Participants will learn the ‘function’ behind self-harming behaviours and strategies/interventions to manage such behaviours.
In addition, participants are informed about their self – awareness and their own coping strategies when dealing with people who may self-harm.
Method of Delivery: Online (Self Thought)
Duration: 2-3 Hours - Once registered participants can access the training up to 120 days
Assessment: Questionnaire. 80% pass rate.
Certification: TTM Training Certification on completion - CPD Accredited
