SAFEGUARDING DAY 2021

Tomorrow marks a special day for Ireland. It will the first every Safeguarding Awareness day in our country.

Despite strict regulations governing Adult Safeguarding in Ireland, high volume of cases are still being reported to HIQA, HSE and the Garda, annually. As such, it is important for frontline Health & Social Care staff to keep abreast with relevant legislation, policies & best practice. All the required information are available online (government websites).

Golden rule: If you’ve a query or doubt on any practice related matter, always consult your immediate line manager or Designated Safeguarding officer.
